MEET KINDRA,
Also known as Your Bold Sister in Christ, Kindra Redix was born and raised in Arkansas—country style. She likes to say that anything besides serving the Lord and His people is a side job, because she’s a full-time Christian. 🙌🏽😂
Kindra is passionate about helping women become more bold and savvy in their faith and lifestyle—encouraging them to show up for themselves while becoming more present and active in Christ.
For Kindra, faith in Jesus Christ is her whole world. It has taught her how to find joy and peace even in the middle of hardship and traumatic seasons. She strives to approach people with a pure heart and without judgment, choosing to listen first and offer advice when it’s asked for.
Living out the fruit of the Spirit wasn’t always easy, but over time it became something she grew more disciplined in—especially as she began incorporating it into her daily prayers.
That faith was tested in a major way six months ago.
After becoming comfortable in a job that provided financially but left her miserable and disconnected from her calling, Kindra began a 21-day fast. While reading the book of Job, she asked God to show her what her next steps in life should be.
During the second week of her fast, everything seemed to happen at once. She lost her job, developed an infection in her leg during a snowstorm, her car’s air went out, her hair fell out, she was locked out of her Instagram account, and she nearly became homeless.
The experience completely changed her perspective on who she is as a person and who she is in Christ.
She had to endure things she never imagined she would face, but through all of it, she says one thing remained true:
God still provides.
Today, Kindra is rebuilding. Although she is currently living in a shed, she describes this season as one of the most peaceful she has ever experienced. She is filled with joy, getting back on her feet, and walking more boldly in her faith than before.
That journey even inspired her to create a new Instagram page—one that represents exactly what this season has produced in her:
Bold. Savvy. Faith. 🙌🏽
THE WORD I'M CARRYING.
“For I know the plans I have for you... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
— Jeremiah 29:11
This Scripture reminds Kindra that God's desires for her life outweigh her own. Even while facing hardship, she had to trust that God would see her through it and that He had better plans for her life—even when she couldn't see them.
At first, what she was experiencing felt like harm. It even felt like punishment. Looking back, she sees the season differently: God was building her up for something greater than herself.
WHAT DOES BEING PECULIAR MEAN TO ME?
Being peculiar means being different from what the world views as normal.
God chose me and pulled me out of darkness. He healed my hurting wounds. Being peculiar means being more BOLD in my faith.
We are all God's people, and we have been given the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of us to remain obedient to God.
Being peculiar means being set apart from the world and knowing that we were chosen for such a time as this.
